5 Ways LA Distributors Can Wow Their Customers With Technology

These days, it isn’t enough to merely please your customers with lower prices or respond to them quickly. If you want to ensure you’re going to keep your customers yours and get and stay ahead of your competition, it’s essential that you Wow your customers at every turn. While being on the ball and listening to your customers’ needs will take you far, the technology that you use and, further, how you use it, will help build into your organizations process ways that increase wow factors.

What does the technology you’re using say about you, and how can it help you to attract, and keep, customers? Here are 5 ways that can help…

1. Creating an engaging and accessible online presence

If you want to wow your customers, it is essential to create that impression from the very first moment. Chances are, potential customers turn to your website or social media channels in order to find out more about you.  So, be sure to dazzle them with an easy-to-navigate homepage and engaging content as well as a Facebook page, Twitter feed, or YouTube channel that’s going to draw customers in.

Your online presence says so much about you. So, make sure you’re controlling the message in the most positive way.  Take a look at your website and social media – are you captivated by the engaging content offered or bored within moments?  And if you aren’t on Social Media, that’s sending a message as well!

2. Invest in an app

From retail outlets and fast food restaurants, to marketing companies and tourist attractions, so many industry leaders have chosen to invest in an app to improve their customer engagement and get themselves noticed. Apps allow companies to reach out to customers and share information that may otherwise go unnoticed, as well as to wow them with the ease of interaction.  Not only is investing in an app is a great way to engage with customers on every level, but it’s a sure way to increase their stickiness with you as their preferred vendor.

3. Create and maintain an online portal

When it comes to owning and operating an LA wholesale or manufacturing business, I’m sure you’d agree - there’s so much to keep track of. From orders and invoices, to stock levels and bills of lading, you need to be incredibly organized to ensure everything is tracked and monitored correctly. Add customers into the mix and everything gets even more complicated.

How do you ensure customers are kept happy? Consider creating and maintaining an online portal. This allows you to update customers with vital information and company news, as well as enabling them to place and track orders with the click of a mouse. Portals are interactive and engaging, and will ensure your customers are wowed during every transaction.

4. Dazzle with warehouse tech

Are you still plodding along with warehouse technology that was installed when you first joined the company or have you taken the time to update your equipment to include the latest upgrades? Older technology may still get the job done, but customers these days want responsiveness and ease of access to information about their account.  And this can only happen if you’re constantly staying current with your technology. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but by investing in the latest technology, you’re actually investing in customer happiness and ultimately, in customer retention.

5. Use technology to illustrate your business’s aims

It is estimated that 90% of the information we process is received visually. If you really want to wow your customers using technology, be sure to make the most of visual aids that you have to hand. Instructional videos, colorful graphics, and glossy images are all great ways to encourage interaction, and you’ll notice that your customers are engaged more often and deeper.

Technology is capable of improving productivity, efficiency, and the level of customer service you’re able to offer. More than that, though, technology has the ability to wow customers in so many ways, ensuring you remain at the top of your industry with just a little effort.
